Earthquake and Home Safety Day

Can you remember the day we all experienced the



6.6 magnitude earthquake here in Bellevue? That day was back in 2001, but we



may be reliving it sometime soon.

The Newport High School Key Club will be hosting an Earthquake and



Safety Day.

Where:



Somerset Elementary

When:



August 17th, 1:00 – 4:00 pm

The event will kick off at 1:00 pm with a speech



from the Deputy Mayor of Bellevue, Jennifer Robertson. Expect to hear multiple



presentations from the City of Bellevue Office of Emergency Preparedness and



talks from the Bellevue Police Department. Local music and field games will



keep the whole family happy. The event will finish at 4:00 pm, and even



stopping by for 30 minutes will be enough information to ensure increased



family and home safety.
