London-based artist Susan Stockwell will give an introduction to her work and contextualizes the pieces shown in the Love Me Tender exhibition. Stockwell's work takes many forms from small intricate studies to large-scale installations and sculpture. Concerned with issues of ecology, geo-politics, mapping, trade, and global commerce, she draws on everyday, disposable, domestic and industrial products that pervade our lives – manipulating and transforming these materials into extraordinary works of art.
