Stairway Walks Day
Join our Neighborhood Walking Ambassadors on urban explorations of Seattle, Bellevue, and Burien's beautiful outdoor stairways as they highlight the Puget Sound Region's awesome elevation changes and discuss the individual characteristics and historical context of our stairways.
The stairway walks featured are from Feet First Neighborhood Walking Ambassadors Jake and Cathy Jaramillo's new book, Seattle Stairway Walks. With a mix of urban history and lore,Seattle Stairway Walks uncovers the blooms and birds of Seattle's greenspaces, the legacy of the city's neighborhood activism, it's turn-of-the-century logging roots, quirky art scenes, architectural icons, and cosmopolitan neighborhoods of today.
