Thanksgiving Day Preemptive Paddle

THANKSGIVING DAY PREEMPTIVE KAYAK/Stand Up Paddle Board/CANOE PADDLE

Slowly pushing away from the table on Thanksgiving Day, appetite satiated beyond belief, the guilt sets in…I ate too much and moved too little…again.  But THIS YEAR you WON’T feel that way, because you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing you went out for the Thanksgiving Day Preemptive Paddle.  Because you rose a bit early, before the football games and parades, climbed into or onto your boat with a group of like-minded folks, and fired up your digestive engine long before the feasting began.  In other words, you participated in the Thanksgiving Day Preemptive Paddle.

We will meet on Thanksgiving Day at 8:00a and be off the water by 9:30a.  This is open to paddlers of various types, sizes, ages, and abilities.  All are invited to meet at the  Issaquah Paddle Sports (Kayak Academy) boat house in the State Park at the south end of Lake Sammamish.  We'll be back off the water by 9:30a.  There is no cost for this event and participants can either bring their own self-propelled water craft or rent from the Kayak Academy.  All participants must be experienced in the use of their craft, have Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices (life vests), and a water craft deemed safe by event staff (no converted bathtubs...)
