The Three Friends of Winter Celebrating the New Year with Chanoyu Tea Ceremony

Presented by the East-West Chanoyu Center directed by Bonnie (Soshin) Mitchell and Timothy (Sowa) Olson, experience the living art of chanoyu that has inspired the creation and development of distinct Japanese art forms from the 16th century to the present. Come savor the quiet atmosphere of the tearoom where all the senses are engaged, and cherish the singularity of each moment that can never be repeated. Free tea ceremony presentations will be continuously offered in the Museum Forum. $16 non-member/$10 member provides admission, bowl of whipped green tea and handmade confection in the Auditorium. Guests wearing kimono will receive member rate.
