Fishing, hunting and outdoor adventure for all ages takes center stage at the 2014 Washington Sportsmen's Show®, January 22-26 at the Washington State Fair Events Center

The
Washington Sportsmen’s Show, a family-friendly tradition of outdoor fun,
education and one-stop shopping for the past 28 years, returns to the
Washington State Fair Events Center in Puyallup, January 22-26, 2014.



·        
Attractions
include the new “Cowboy Fast Draw,” indoor “Steelhead River,” “Warm Water Demo
Tank,” the “Northwest Tour of Big Game Animals” and “Head & Horns”
competition, the “Camp Cooking Tent,” the Kid’s Free Trout Pond and much more.



·        
New
to the show is the “Cowboy Fast Draw” competition, presented by Les Schwab,
where showgoers step up to a special range with classic
Colt 45 style six-guns, vintage holsters and special wax bullets. $5
suggested donation; NRA- certified instructors on hand to supervise.

Seminar speakers include sportfishing legend Gary Loomis; fishing
Hall of Famer Buzz Ramsey; flyfishing expert Jim Teeny and many others.



·        
“Kid’s
FREE Trout Pond” provides youngsters 12 and under with the opportunity to
catch-and-keep or release a trout.

 Tips on wilderness survival and outdoor safety

Big
game trophies and eye-popping full-body mounts, on-site scoring of trophies
submitted by show attendees headline the “Head & Horns” display and
competition.

Celebrity
camp cooks Herb Good, Tiffany Haugen and Dutch Oven guru “Cee Dub” Welch
prepare recipes—and share tasty samples—in hourly presentations all five days
of the show.

2014 Washington Sportsmen’s Show–Hours/Admission & Parking:



 



Show days/hours
are 12:00 noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday (Jan. 22-24); 10 a.m. to 8
p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 25); and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday (Jan. 26). 

Admission is $12 for
adults; juniors (6-16) are $5; and children five and under are admitted free.
$18 two-day passes are also available.
