Four-part series Thursdays, Oct. 17, 24; Nov. 7, 14
As children approach the teen years (8 to 12 years old), it’s a key time to lay the foundation for the adolescent years. This proactive approach will ease the transition to the middle and high school years.
In this 4 session class offered by Youth Eastside Services, parents will learn how to:
• Help your pre-teen build skills to understand body and brain changes.
• Manage school changes.
• Support social and emotional growth.
Instructor: Jennifer Watanabe is a parent coach and certified Positive Discipline parenting educator. The mother of two adolescent sons, she has been teaching parenting classes at Bellevue College for 16 years.
