Eastside Baby Corner's 2nd Annual Luncheon

Eastside Baby Corner (EBC) will be holding its 2nd Annual Luncheon on November 14, 2011 at the Bellevue Hilton - 300 112th Avenue SE, Bellevue, WA. EBC is excited to welcome keynote speaker, Dan O’Neill, founder of Mercy Corps.

Since 1981, Mercy Corps has helped to alleviate suffering, poverty and oppression by helping people build just, secure and productive communities. The agency has generated more than $1.3 billion since its inception, assisting children and families with cost efficient, high-impact relief and development programs. O'Neill has committed his life to serving the world's vulnerable and oppressed since 1972. He has worked in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, documenting poverty, famine and war through photographs, articles and journals. O’Neill currently resides in Sammamish, WA.

Over 450 local community leaders are expected to attend. Money raised will be used to assist EBC in continuing its work of accepting donations of children’s clothing and goods from community donors, as well as purchasing essentials such as baby food, formula, car seats, and diapers. Thanks to donations and community involvement, EBC annually distributes nearly $3,000,000 worth of goods for children from birth to 12 years of age.
