Hundreds of participants will complete a variety of environmental projects at Bellevue's parks and open spaces on Saturday, April 20.

Volunteers are needed to help with a variety of environment projects for the City of Bellevue's 25th-annual Arbor Day-Earth Day event.

Participants will gather at Lewis Creek Park at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, and disperse throughout Bellevue to plant trees, restore trails, remove invasive plants and complete other environmental projects at the city's parks and open spaces.

The work party concludes at 11 a.m. with a community festival and official tree-planting ceremony at Lewis Creek Park in celebration of the city's 24th year receiving a Tree City USA designation.
