Awesome Chicken Wing Recipes for Super Bowl Sunday

Everything about the Super Bowl is big—the star players, the media coverage, the halftime show and the game day menu. Which is exactly why chicken wings are synonymous with Super Bowl Sunday. There's no way to eat just one. In fact, the more you eat, the more street cred you have.

But eating chicken wings is the easy part. When your family is hosting the Super Bowl party, it's up to you to make the most awesome wings ever. After all, wings are to the Super Bowl what turkey is to Thanksgiving. Luckily, your Super Bowl menu doesn't have to be nearly as time consuming as a holiday dinner. Here's a sweet and spicy boneless recipe made from 3 ingredients that takes only 5 minutes to prepare. Have 15 minutes to spare? Try the traditional Buffalo recipe below. Sweet and Spicy Boneless Wings
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients: 

  • 1 package Chicken Poppers
  • 1 9-oz. jar plum sauce (about 1 cup)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
Preparation: 
  • Cook chicken poppers according to package directions. 
  • Meanwhile, combine plum sauce, soy sauce, and chili flakes, and mix thoroughly. 
  • When chicken is cooked, toss in sauce and serve immediately.

Red Zone Buffalo Wings
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Serves: 8

Ingredients: 
  • 2 (2-lb.) packages fully-cooked chicken wings, frozen
  • 7 tablespoons cayenne pepper sauce, divided
  • 6 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1 cup blue cheese dressing
  • Celery sticks
  • Cherry tomatoes
Preparation: 
  • Prepare wings according to package directions. 
  • Combine butter and 6 tablespoons cayenne pepper sauce in large bowl and whisk to blend; add wings and toss to coat. 
  • Arrange wings on platter; sprinkle crumbled blue cheese over wings. 
  • Combine blue cheese dressing with 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper sauce and whisk to blend. Portion in bowl and arrange on platter. 
  • Garnish platter with celery sticks and cherry tomatoes.
