Seniors Invited to Complimentary Breakfast on National Day of Service

Bellevue's seniors who are 60 and older will be honored with a complimentary, catered breakfast at Crossroads Park on Tuesday, Sept. 11 in commemoration of the National Day of Service.

Bellevue’s senior residents will be honored with a complimentary, catered breakfast at on Tuesday, Sept. 11. 

At the “Honoring Our Elders: Celebrating Our National Day of Service and Remembrance” event, 8-10 a.m. at the park, 16000 NE 10th St., the first 200 local residents 60 and older are welcome to an outdoor breakfast catered by Eques Hyatt Regency Bellevue.

Bellevue firefighters and police officers, as well Microsoft employees will join the attendees for conversation during breakfast. There will be a moment of silence at 8:46 for those who lost their lives on 9/11. 

Ken Carson, game day entertainment host for the Seattle Seahawks and Sounders FC, will emcee the event. Seniors can visit information booths including: City of Bellevue Neighborhood Outreach program, volunteering and service opportunities in Bellevue, senior safety tips from the Bellevue Police, free computer training from Microsoft at Bellevue Square and health screenings by Bellevue firefighters.

Gift bags from the and the Bellevue fire and police departments will be available while supplies last.
