Heaven is for Real tells the shocking and spiritual story of a real-life boy who says he went to Heaven and met Jesus during an emergency surgery.

The film will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, July 22. Rated PG, the film has a running time of 99 minutes. The DVD features deleted scenes and an extra featurette called "A Touch of Heaven," and in addition to that the Blu-ray also has "Creating Heaven" and "The Making Of" featurettes.

Based on the No. 1 New York Times best-selling book of the same name, the film brings to life this story about Nebraskan pastor Todd Burpo, who works to validate and share his son Colton's life-changing experience with the world.

Heaven is for Real features Greg Kinnear, Kelly Reilly and newcomer Connor Corum as Colton, and it is directed by Randall Wallace. The boy who claims to have visited Heaven during his near-death experience relays details about things that happened before he was born and never told about.

“I think this movie’s real strength is that it’s a conversation starter,” Todd Burpo said in an interview with Patch. “I think we have people who would never join us in a conversation about God in a church, but to see in a film that there is a Heaven, I think this movie is a great medium to share the story and get people talking.”
