Bellevue Patch Week in Review

Kids were in the news this week.

Kids got lost of virtual ink this week on Bellevue Patch, as some of the most read stories of this week show. Here are some of the highlights of the past week, in case you missed them.

The youth group of took on the politically and culturally signficant incident of the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard, a University of Wyoming student who was targeted because he was gay. They staged a reading of the play "The Laramie Project" to explore the aftermath of this incident.

People took to the street corner of Bellevue Way and NE 8th St. in Bellevue to celebrate the resignation of Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, who stepped down after 30 years in power and weeks of major protests involving hundreds of thousands of people. We have photos and video.
