The song goes: “Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?”
The busiest traveling months have arrived! Everyone wants to show up at their destination looking his or her best. Celebrities often are caught coming from the airport runway looking like they just came off the fashion runway. So there is no reason why you have to look bad while traveling from airport to airport to get to your destination.
So when we are waiting in the airports for hours, high on caffeine, why not look fabulous in the air! To achieve this, we need to find items that are stylish and comfortable.
Now, unless you’re planning to step off the airplane right on to the red carpet I wouldn’t wear heels. Though they are fashionable, they definitely don’t fall in the comfortable category and you wont want to be standing in long lines in 6-inch stilettos!
The fabulous travel ensemble essentials:
/Yoga pants: Yoga pants are probably the best inventions in the history of travel attire. They are so comfy; they are the most “Fashionable” kinds of sweat pants ever. You can also sleep like baby in these! So if you’re stuck at the airport for hours these are perfect for you!
Jeggings: I feel that collegefashion.net puts it best about jeggings when they say “They have the chic look of our stylish skinny jeans with all the stretch and comfort of our favorite leggings.” Regular jeans can always be so stiff for those long flights and are never comfortable to sleep in. Leggings are both stretchy and chic.
An iPad: Flights can be so boring sometimes. You can nap, eat, and look out the airplane window. It's hard to look good when you're bored and annoyed. A fashionable and practical solution is to bring an iPad. These devices can distract you for most of the flight. Just put some movies, TV shows or books, and you wont be bored stiff. If you've never seen an iPad in person,
Flip flops/sandals: Like I mentioned before, unless you want to have blisters on your feet, DON’T WEAR HEELS to the airport. Your best bet would be just to wear a simple pair of flip flops or flats. There are plenty of cute styles that will still be comfortable for long trips.
Fedora: The fedora is seen on almost all the celebrities coming off the airplane. I think these are perfect for travel! Fedora hats are both stylish and useful. If you come off a really long flight, just cover your bedhead by slipping on your fedora hat!
Carry-on bags: If you’re a frequent flyer, check out fashion designer suitcases and bags. Almost all fashion houses make chic travel gear that can make you look very put together while you travel. And you easily spot your bags among all the basic black luggage at the baggage claim. You can roll down the busy airports with suitcases and bags by Louis Vuitton, Diane Von Furtensburg, Marc Jacobs and other top designers.
The Sunglasses: Sunglasses are a must-have! After traveling airport-to-airport, or taking a red-eye flight, you'll just want to go to bed and sleep, so be incognito. So just put on a pair of some designer sunglasses to cover up your tired red eyes! This will also help you look like a celebrity wearing them!
These fabulous travel ensemble essentials tips will help you travel in style. You might even be mistaken for a celebrity!
