I just had a great experience buying a car at BMW of Bellevue, so posted I a detailed favorable review on Yelp. Then I watched it get "filtered" and hidden. My review was long, specific, and personal.
The BMW salesman I just mentioned this to said yes, if his business won't pay Yelp, they get their favorable reviews filtered. And now I see a half dozen long recent posts flattering BMW of Bellevue, all filtered. I almost didn't buy a car from this dealership because only negative reviews have been left up unfiltered.
This is not OK, and undercuts my confidence in Yelp. I just emailed Yelp, but doubt they will fix their extortion-motivated filtering.
