Texting While Walking: Are You Guilty?
Everyone knows that driving while texting is extremely dangerous, but the Associated Press reports that walking while texting or using smart phones is resulting in injuries and accidents to pedestrians. Do you practice this bad habit?
Texting on a phone while driving is extremely dangerous, walking while texting or using smart phones is not safe either.
The Associated Press (linked to here via the Christian Science Monitor) reports that the practice is resulting in injuries and accidents to pedestrians.
AP also posted on its YouTube channel a surveillance of a man who fell from a train platform onto the tracks below because he was distracted by his phone. Last year, a video of a woman falling into a fountain at a mall while distracted by phone went viral.

I have to admit I'm guilty of texting while walking, but have managed to keep out of fountains and train tracks and have avoided falling on curbs. But it's a habit I know I need to break.
