Youth Connection: Bellevue Keeps America's Promise

Bellevue wins America's Promise Alliance award for the fourth year in a row.

For the fourth year in a row, the city of Bellevue won the 100 Best Communities for Young People award from America’s Promise Alliance. Ernest Bihm, a representative of the Alliance, flew in from Washington DC to present the award at the Bellevue Community Leadership Awards at the on May 17. The 2011 award, which symbolized our recognition as a remarkable city, took the form of a brightly colored orange pushpin.

America’s Promise Alliance chose the city of Bellevue because of our outstanding educational and community involvement opportunities which set our youth on the path to success. The schools all rank on the top 100 schools in America. In addition, the city supplies an abundance of Youth Programs which include The Bellevue Youth Link, Jubilee Outreach Center, the Bellevue YMCA, the Kindering Center, and the Boys & Girls Club.

We truly have made a mark on the map of America!
