Armed Man Demands Cash at Sex Toy Store in Overlake, Police Say

Police are looking for a man who robbed the Lovers store in Overlake Tuesday.

A man robbed a Lovers sex toy store in the Overlake area at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon, Redmond Police say.

The man entered the store, located in the 15000 block of Northeast 24th Street at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, went behind the counter, displayed a small handgun and demanded cash, according to police spokesman Jim Bove.

He forced the employee at the counter to go to the back of the store while he took cash from the register and then fled on foot in an unknown direction, Bove said. There were no injuries in the robbery.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid-30s with a medium build who is approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He was wearing a reddish-orange jacket, baseball hat, sunglasses, blue jean and gloves.
