A family of six in the Tam O'Shanter neighborhood is displaced after a living room blaze that was first spotted by their 7-year-old neighbor.

A 7-year-old spotted smoke coming from her neighbors' house and got her dad to call 9-1-1 Monday evening, according to the Bellevue Fire Department.

Around 5:20 p.m., the girl saw the smoke coming from her neighbors' home in the  1400 block of 176th Ave NE in the Tam O'Shanter, according to Bellevue Fire Department spokesman Lt. Troy Donlin.

Fire fighters arrived within six minutes to discover the living partly in flames, he said.
