Bellevue Man Accused of Groping Women at Bus Stop, Sex Shop

A 16-year-old Bellevue girl and a worker at a sex toy store in Redmond told police that a man groped them in separate incidents earlier this summer.

A 51-year-old Bellevue man is accused of groping a 16-year-old girl at a bus stop in the Crossroads neighborhood, as well as an employee of a Redmond sex toy store, according to court records.

According to the SeattlePI.com, which first reported the incidents, the man, identified as Amrik Singh Kang, was charged by King County Prosecutors with indecent liberties and fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation. The website reported that he is out on $100,000 bail.

According to court documents, a man walked into the Lovers' store at 15015 NE 24th Street, Redmond, around 7 p.m. June 24, and asked an employee if he could try out a sex toy in the bathroom. When she said no and began to walk away, the man grabbed her arm and put both hands on her breasts, according to court documents.

The woman kicked the man out of the store, and reported in the incident to police and advised them of the store's surveillance camera, according to the court document.

About a week later, on July 1, a 16-year-old girl told Bellevue police that a man groped her after they got off the bus at a stop in the 1500 block of 156th Avenue NE in Bellevue. When they first got off the bus, the man and another man asked if she was OK, and she started crying, according to the report. She said one of the men offered her a hug, and when they hugged she could feel his fingers resting on her breasts, according to the court document. After she pulled away, he hugged her again and reached under her breast, according to the document.

About three weeks later, the 16-year-old girl's mother called police, saying she saw the man who groped her daughter at a nearby Bellevue apartment complex. Bellevue police talked to the man, who was identified as Kang, according to court documents.

The girl and by the employee at Lovers identified Kang was the man who groped them, according to court documents, and police said that Kang's Department of Licensing photo is very similar to the photos from the Lovers surveillance camera.
