A 35-year-old Bellevue man is facing charges after police say he tried to lure a young girl using text messages, KOMO News is reporting.
Police say the mother of the 13-year-old girl found several sexually explicit messages on her cell phone that was previously used by her daughter.
According to Assistant Chief Pat Lowery, with the Kent Police Department, the text messages were sexually suggestive and mentioned offers of money, drugs, and alcohol.
The suspect was arrested on Monday in Renton following an investigation into the suspicious texts by Kent detectives. Patch generally does not name suspects until they are formally charged.
Detectives are continuing to investigate to see if there could be other victims, the KOMO report said.
