Bellevue Man Arrested On Suspicion of DUI after Flipping '68 Corvette on Interstate 90

A Bellevue man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Sunday night after he flipped his 1968 Corvette on Interstate 90, according to the .

Around 5:30 p.m., Washington State Patrol troopers responded to a one car collision on westbound I-90 near West Lake Sammamish in King County, according to a press release from the state patrol. Troopers arrived on scene to find a 1968 Corvette upside down near the right shoulder with the driver partially ejected.

According to multiple witnesses, the Corvette was observed traveling at an extremely high rate of speed just prior to colliding with the concrete jersey wall and rolling over. The 52-year-old Bellevue driver was quickly transported from the scene to Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue with serious injuries. He was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the state patrol press release.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the collision blocked lanes of I-90 for at least an hour.
