Bellevue PD Honors Officers And Citizens At Awards Ceremony Today
Twenty five awards will be presented at ceremony this afternoon
A total of 25 people are being recognized for outstanding work and valor at an award ceremony at 3 p.m. this afternoon, May 11, at Council Chambers, 450 110th Avenue N.E., Bellevue.
The awards will include recognition of police employees of the Year; police lifesaving awards; twenty-five and thirty year service awards; civilian law enforcement merit awards; and commander awards for outstanding police work..

Officer Andy Hanke - successful use of AED in saving a local man’s life
Officer Thomas Moriarty - successful use of AED in saving a local Bellevue School District employee
Corporal Andrew Popochock and Officer Brenda Johnson - both assisted in a lifesaving AED application
Officer Jacob Bement - prevented a male from jumping off an I-405 overpass
Officer Craig Hanaumi - assisted in CPR that helped save a local citizen
Corporal Jason McElyea and Officer Scott Montgomery - both prevented a female from jumping off an I-405 overpass
Commanders Award
Officer Bryan Hershberger - for exemplary performance with SWAT
Police Systems Manager Marnie Annin - for new technology systems implementation
