Bellevue Police have released surveillance camera stills of a man suspected of robbing the Shell gas station.
On Thursday, July 28, at 9:07 p.m., the man entered the gas station located at 1608 145th Pl. SE, Bellevue. As the cashier opened the register to complete the man's beer purchase, the man went around the counter carrying a grey handgun, police said. He stated, “Give me the money.” After he emptied the register, he tried to get the cashier to open the safe, but she did not have access, police said. He then took packs of “Newport” cigarettes from the display and demanded “Marlboro Menthols”, which the cashier provided, police said. He left the store on foot, police said. He was not seen with any associated vehicles or other suspects, police said.
The man was described as black, 25-30 years old, having a height of between 5 feet, 8 inches and 6 feet, and having a weight of between 150 to 170 pounds, police said.
