Bellevue Police Seek Suspect in Armed Robbery of Somerset Home

A woman told Bellevue police that a man robbed her at gunpoint Friday night. Police have released a sketch.

Bellevue police have released a sketch of a man who robbed a woman at gunpoint in her home in the Somerset neighborhood of Bellevue Friday night.

According to a press release by the Bellevue Police Department, the woman told officers that the woman returned home in the 5300 block of 134th Avenue Southeast and pulled her vehicle into the garage just after 10 p.m. Friday, when the man entered through the open garage door.

She told police that the man pointed a gun at her and demanded her purse. He took her purse and fled, police said.

Police dogs searched for the man, but he left the scene, police said.

The woman described the robber as black, approximately 45 years old, with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. The woman said he wore a black beret, dark sweater, black leather jacket and dark pants. The stolen purse taken was a black and white canvas shoulder bag.
