Bellevue Woman Stabbed; Daughter in Jail

The daughter, 23, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault, after Bellevue police said that she stabbed her mother.

A Bellevue woman was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault late Sunday night after investigators accused her of stabbing her mother and fleeing their Crossroads apartment, the Bellevue Police Department reported.

According to the Bellevue Police Department, the mother, 45, was in stable condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

According to Bellevue Police, around 9:15 p.m., the daughter, who is 23, allegedly fled their apartment after the stabbing at the Highland Village Complex, in the 14500 block of NE 8th Street.

After a short search, including a K9 team, two Bellevue Police Patrol officers found the daughter a few blocks away and arrested her, according to the Bellevue Police Department. The daughter was booked into King County Jail on suspicion of first-degree assault, according to the press release by Bellevue spokeswoman Officer Carla Iafrate.

The mother suffered several non-life threatening wounds, according to Iafrate's press release.

Police are investigating the what led to the incident, Iafrate said.
