Update: Foul Play Not Suspected in Death on Cougar Mountain

Seattle Mountain Rescue posted on its Facebook page that a man's body was recovered in the area on Wednesday afternoon.

A man's body was recovered from Cougar Mountain Wednesday afternoon, according to Seattle Mountain Rescue's Facebook page:

This afternoon Seattle Mountain Rescue responded to body recovery in the Cougar Mountain area. SMR extends its deepest condolences to the man's family and friends.

Cougar Mountain is a regional wildland park located between Bellevue, Issaquah, Newcastle and Renton. It contains 36 miles of trails for hiking and equestrian use.

The King County Sheriff's Office said it responded to a report of a body in the area at around noon on Wednesday. Foul play is not suspected, according to Sgt. Cindi West.

The King County Medical Examiner has yet to officially release the man's cause and manner of death.
