Crews have cleared a collision that blocked northbound lanes of Interstate 405 near milepost 9 at 112th Avenue SE, causing major backups, according to the Washington Department of Transportation. The backup had been four miles long and the traffic tie-up lasted more than half an hour.

Another collision that occurred on the 112th Avenue SE northbound onramp that took place as the original collision was being cleared up has now also been cleared up, according to the DOT.

A jackknifed semi that had been blocking all lanes has been straightened and cars are getting by in the left-hand lane, their feed announced.
