KIRO-TV: Danford Grant Submits DNA, Law Firm Searched, in Massage Therapy Rape Cases

According to KIRO-TV, Danford Grant, the Seattle attorney charged in a series of rapes of massage therapists, including one in Bellevue and one in Shoreline, has submitted a DNA sample.

Danford Grant, the Seattle attorney charged in a series of rapes of local massage therapists, including one in Bellevue and one in Shoreline, has submitted a DNA sample, according to a KIRO-TV news report.

The news report also states that a search warrant was served at the Seattle law firm of Bailey Onsager, where Grant formerly was a partner before being arrested in connection with rape of a massage therapist in Seattle in September. Grant had risen to be part of the firm's name -- Bailey Grant Onsager -- before his arrest.

After the Seattle arrest, prosecutors connected him to seven charges in connection to a series of sexual assaults of local massage therapists, including the August rapes of a massage therapist at a Bellevue studio and of a massage therapist at her home in Shoreline.

Grant was released after posting $1 million bail in October and is under electronic home monitoring, as well as under other restrictions.

Grant is a longtime attorney who has practiced in the Seattle area, including getting a master of laws degree from the University of Washington in 1996 an focusing on employment litigation in the Seattle City Attorney's Office from 1996 to 2000, according to his Linked In profile. Grant became one of the named shareholders of Bailey Grant Onsager earlier this year, according to the law firm's website.
