Eastside Residents Asked to Help Taylor Bridge Fire Victims

The Hilton Garden Inn in Issaquah has set up a donation site for cash, clothing, and non-perishable goods for people in the Cle Elum area who have had to evacuate.

As the Taylor Bridge Fire near Cle Elum rages on, covering about 28,000 acres and forcing many people to evacuate their homes, local chambers of commerce are asking for help to care for those displaced as the fire continues to advance toward Ellensburg.

The sent Patch a note this morning that the Hilton Garden Inn in Issaquah, at 1800 Northwest Gilman Boulevard, has set up a donation center to accept donations of cash, clothing, water, and non-perishable food items and necessities for victims of the fire.

About 800 firefighters have come together to fight the spread, including members of .
