Father of Missing Toddler Expands Search Efforts to Issaquah

KING 5 reports Solomon Metalwala has been handing out fliers at the Issaquah Costco and surrounding areas Wednesday afternoon.

Solomon Metalwala shifted his efforts to find his 2-year-old missing son to Issaquah on Wednesday, KING 5 News reported.

The toddler, Sky Metalwala, has been missing for 10 days, and Bellevue Police canceled its daily press briefings today in the absence of any new information to disseminate.

Julia Biryukova, the boy's mother, and walked one mile to a gas station, leaving Sky alone in the car. When she returned with a friend, the toddler was gone.

Since then, police have discovered and continued to express doubts as to her story's credibility. Even so, .

Solomon Metalwala on Saturday, saying he remains hopeful the boy will be found safe. According to court documents concerning the divorce between Metalwala and the boy's mother, Julia Biryukova, Sky and his older sister lived with Biryukova at her mother's home in Issaquah before moving to a Redmond apartment.

Meanwhile, KIRO 7 TV spoke to Biryukova's brother, Stan Biryukova, on Wednesday outside his Seattle apartment. Stan Biryukova told KIRO his sister is “upset with the whole situation.”

  • Age 2, 2’10” tall, 39 pounds, black hair, brown eyes.
  • Sky was last seen on Nov. 6, 2011, in the 2600 block of 112th Ave. N.E., Bellevue, Wash.
  • He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black and aqua blue sweatpants and white socks.
  • Sky was in a silver 1998 Acura Integra three-door coupe when he disappeared.
  • Police ask anyone who was traveling Sunday morning along 112th Avenue Northeast, between State Route 520 and Northeast 24th Street, to please call the Bellevue Police tip line at 425-452-2564.
