Bellevue Arrests Four in Kirkland, Kenmore Burglaries

Bellevue police arrested four Seattle men in connection with burglaries in Kirkland and Kenmore, according to court papers. Six handguns were stolen from one of the burglarized homes, according to police.

Four Seattle men were arrested last week in connection with burglaries in Kirkland and Kenmore after a Bellevue Police Department surveillance operation, according to a probable cause statement filed in King County.

The men, who have not been charged, range in age from 18 to 26, according to probable cause statements.

Among the items stolen were six handguns from a Kirkland home, according to the probable cause statements.

On Oct. 8, a landscaper in the Newport Shores neighborhood of Bellevue spotted a gold Toyota Camry driving slowly through the area, according to the statement. The landscaper told police he saw several people get out of the car and look at homes, and then get in their car and drive away when they realized they were being watched.

The landscaper was able to provide the license plate information to Bellevue police, and the Bellevue Special Enforcement Team tracked it to a Seattle address of a grandmother of one of the men, according to the statement.

An undercover detective and officers watched the car in Seattle on Oct. 9, and stopped the car while it was waiting near a jewelry shop because one of the men had a warrant, according to the probable cause statement.

The four were arrested, search warrants issued, and electronics were found in the car and in the grandmother's home that were traced to burglaries in Kirkland and Kenmore, including one that occurred earlier that day, according to the probable cause statement.

One of the Kirkland victims told police that six handguns were taken from his home, along with electronics, jewelry and other items.

KIRO 7 news asked the grandmother for her reaction to the arrests.

"They'll have to deal with whatever. I don't want to say anything, I don't want to involve myself anymore," Carlo Anderson told the reporter.
