CrimeStoppers Buys Cemetery Plots to Keep Dad Away from Slain Powell Boys
After getting word that the family of suspect Josh Powell wanted him buried in the same Puyallup cemetery as the boys, the University Place-based agency bought the two surrounding plots with hope to turn them into a memorial.
CrimeStoppers of Tacoma/Pierce County has purchased the two cemetery plots next to Charlie and Braden Powell, who died
After news that Josh Powell’s relatives wanted him buried in the same Puyallup cemetery where his two sons are now buried, the agency stepped forward Wednesday to purchase the two surrounding plots. It's now asking the public for help.
Charlie, 7, and Braden, 5, were killed by their father as they arrived for a supervised visit with him at his Graham home. Powell was a person of interest in the disappearance of his wife, Susan Powell, in Utah.

"It's disgusting that a murder suspect would be buried next to his victims," Pierce County Sheriff Paul Pastor said via Twitter.
The agency – located in University Place - is now accepting donations to help turn the plots surrounding Charlie and Braden into a memorial.
