Hawaii TV: Bail Set at $2M for Bellevue Man Held in Death of Companion
Howard Philip Zimmerman's bail was raised from $320,000 to $2 million at a court hearing Tuesday. Zimmerman is being held in connection with the death of Susan Brockert of Bellevue, with whom he was traveling.
A Hawaii judge set a $2 million bail for a Bellevue man held in a Kona in connection with the death of the woman he was traveling with, according to Honolulu's KITV.com.
at The Fairmont Orchid resort on the Kohala Coast on Hawaii's big island. .
The two had been registered together at the resort, police said. News reports stated that Brockert and Zimmerman had been in a relationship, but Brockert had taken a restraining order against Zimmerman in the past.

Zimmerman —also known as Philip Howard Zimmerman— faces charges of second-degree murder, kidnapping, first-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree criminal property damage, according to a press release from the Hawai'i Police Department. but Hawaii judge Judge Mel Fujino raised his bail, according to KITV.
