The accident involving one vehicle occurred this morning on Lakemont Boulevard, just south of Bellevue.

Update, Aug. 10, 1:30 p.m.:

The King County Sheriff's Office said this afternoon that a motorcyclist was apparently travelling Eastboung on Newcastle Golf Club Road and failed to negotiate a left bend in the road, striking the guard rail.  The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center and was pronounced dead.

There were no witnesses to the accident; a driver passing by on that road found him and called for help.

The man has not been identified at this time, and at this time it is not believed alcohol was a factor in the accident, but the investigation is ongoing.
