Police Issue Sketch of Armed Robber Who Hit Shops in Eastside

Bellevue police issued the sketch Friday of a suspect who has robbed several shops and stores around the Eastside between Oct. 21 and Dec. 19, including a Baskin Robbins in Kirkland.

The Bellevue Police Department on Friday released a sketch of a suspect in several recent armed robberies of small stores around the Eastside, including on Nov. 28 at the Baskin Robbins shop in Kirkland.

In releasing the sketch, Bellevue police said the robber hit at least seven gas stations, Subway shops and Baskin Robbins between Oct. 21 and Dec. 19. In all of those cases, he is described as a white male in his 20s, wearing a white bandanna over his face, a hooded sweatshirt, and sometimes a black or brown leather jacket. His shoes appear to be black with distinctive white trim.

That is precisely the description Kirkland police provided when a gunman armed with a semi-automatic pistol robbed the Rose Hill Baskin Robbins in November and got away with about $200. At the time police said the robber’s description matched that of a man who robbed the nearby Rose Hill Texaco station and store on Oct. 27.

The release by Bellevue police (see the attached PDF file) included two images of the suspect taken from security cameras.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Bellevue police at 425-452-6050. You can also contact the Kirkland Police Department at 425-577-5656.
