Rollover Accident Sets Trees on Fire in Phantom Lake Neighborhood

A 20-year-old driver was injured slightly in the accident, according to the Bellevue Fire Department. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to the fire department.

Some trees caught fire and a man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a rollover accident around 6:45 p.m. Monday in the Phantom Lake neighborhood, according to the Bellevue Fire Department.

The 20-year-old driver was slightly injured and got himself out of the car before paramedics arrived after the one-car rollover accident in the 16200 block of Phantom Way, said Bellevue Fire Department spokesman Lt. Troy Donlin.

No one else was involved in the crash, though the driver was booked on suspicion of DUI, he said.

About 17 firefighters responded to the accident and fire, Donlin said.

The crash occurred on an accident-prone stretch of road, he said.

"About once a year, we have a bad accident on that curve," Donlin said.
