Suspect in Fatal Bellevue Bar Shooting was Convicted in 'Tuba Man' Killing

Police are looking for Ja'mari Alexander Alan Jones, 19, one of three teens convicted in the 2008 beating death of a Seattle figure known as "Tuba Man."

Bellevue Police are looking for a 19-year-old man suspected in a fatal shooting early Monday at a downtown club.

They issued a warrant for the arrest of Ja’mari Alexander Alan Jones. He is believed to be armed and dangerous, and the public is asked to call 9-1-1 if they see him.

Bellevue Police spokeswoman Officer Carla Iafrate confirmed Monday night that Jones was one of three teens convicted for the 2008 beating death of a beloved Seattle figure known as "Tuba Man."

Jones is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 140 pounds. Police are also looking for a white Nissan Maxima, with Washington license plate AHZ1672.

Jones is suspected of fatally shooting a 30-year-old Seattle man just after 1 a.m. Monday at the crowded Munchbar in Bellevue Square, where a Seattle Seahawks after-party was going on. About 600 people were at the bar. A second person was shot and wounded.
