Suspicious Package on Bus Closes Bellevue Transit Center
The Bellevue Transit Center was closed for an investigation of a suspicious package left on a RapidRide bus around 2 p.m. The package turned out to be a box of shredded paper.
The Bellevue Transit Center was closed for about 90 minutes Thursday afternoon to investigate a suspicious package left on a RapidRide bus, according to the Bellevue Police Department.
The package turned out to be a black cardboard box of shredded paper, but riders were forced to catch the bus several blocks away during the investigation. The transit center reopened around 2 p.m.
The King County Sheriff's Department Bomb Squad were called to the Bellevue Transit Center to investigate the suspicious package left on a RapidRide bus.
