Two Injured After Four Car Accident on 520 Wednesday

A four-car accident snarled State Route 520 Wednesday night at 6 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol. Two people were taken to Overlake Hospital Medical Center.

Two Eastside residents were taken to Overlake Hospital Medical Center after a four-car pileup on State Route 520 just before 6 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 9), according to the .

Peyman Marandiz, 43, of Redmond was driving a 1999 Ford Econoline eastbound on the bridge when it struck a 1999 Ford Ranger, driven by Rachel K. Greenhalgh, 27, of Carnation, according to a Washington State Patrol press memo.

Greenhalgh's car was pushed into two other vehicles, including a Starcraft bus driven by Michael W. Johnson of Renton, and a 1998 Toyota Camry, driven by Ali A. Mastan of Bellevue, according to the state patrol.

Greenhalgh, Johnson and Mastan all had slowed down for traffic midspan, according to the state patrol. The cause of the crash is under investigation, according to the state patrol.

Marandiz and Greenhalgh were taken to Overlake Hospital Medical Center for injuries, state troopers reported.
