Vehicle Hangs on Guide Wire After Minor Crash

Bellevue Fire Department and Bellevue Police Department say that there were minor injuries after a vehicle overcorrected and ended up on a pole guide wire.

A driver was taken to Overlake Hospital Medical Center as a precaution after a vehicle ended up hanging on a pole guidewire before 9:30 a.m., according to the and the departments.

The driver was westbound on Lake Washington Boulevard preparing to turn left onto Overlake Drive south of Clyde Hill, according to Bellevue Police spokeswoman Carla Iafrate. The driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic, overcorrected, and drove up the guide wire, she said.

A crane will be needed to remove the vehicle safely from its precarious position, officials said.
