Volunteers to Canvass Redmond Saturday For New Information on Sky Metalwala

Volunteers are organizing on Facebook to canvass Redmond with flyers to spark more leads in the search for missing two-year-old, Sky Metalwala.

The volunteers are meeting at 11 a.m. at the Redmond Mart Sunny Teriyaki, 17020 Avondale Way, Redmond (in the same location as ).

The location is five minutes away from where Sky, his older sister, and his mother, Julia Biryukova, live, at the .

Sky has been missing since Nov. 6, when his mother, Julia Biryukova told Bellevue police they left the in downtown Redmond that morning. She said she was taking Sky  to in Bellevue because he was sick.

. She said she left the sleeping toddler in the car while she and her four-year-old daughter walked about a mile to get gas. When she and a friend returned to the car, the toddler was gone.

Bellevue police have said that, including the car trouble that she reported. Furthermore, police say that .

Bellevue Police say that people in Sky's family "hold the key" to where he is now.

Sky's father, and Julia's ex-husband, Solomon Metalwala, and has organized searches for his son and appeared on numerous media to appeal for his son's return.

The divorced couple have been going through a contentious custody battle, which included descriptions of Julia Biryukova's history of involuntary commitment to a mental health facility.

The message on the organizers' Facebook page says:

Thank you all so much for your support in finding Sky. The police are still looking for people who might have seen Sky since October 15th and need details from those who saw him last. We'll be be canvassing Redmond with more fliers this Saturday and would appreciate your help!
