Washington State Patrol detectives are seeking additional witnesses to a "dangerously driven vehicle" that caused a rollover collision on northbound I-405 on New Year's Eve.
Witnesses told WSP investigators that a green Honda Accord was traveling at high speeds and passing vehicles on the right shoulder of the freeway at around 7 p.m. as it approached State Route 167. The Honda made a sudden lane change and hit the right rear of a green Subaru Outback causing it to roll over in the lane .
Troopers say it's possible the Honda was involved in a high-speed race with a third unidentifed vehicle. One of the racing cars remained at the scene, while the second suspect vehicle fled, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Julie Judson.
The injured were treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and another local hospital and all were later released.
This collision is under investigation and detectives are asking anyone that has not been interviewed that may have seen the collision, or are aware of any vehicles or events that may have occurred prior to it, please contact Det. Russ Haake 425-401-7717 or Russ.Haake@wsp.wa.gov.
