520 Bridge Opening Delayed -- Eastbound Lanes Closed Until 7 a.m., Westbound Lanes Now Open

The westbound lanes did not open until 6 a.m. The bridge had been closed all weekend for construction.

The Washington State Department of Transportation reported that the eastbound lanes of the 520 Bridge would remain closed until 7 a.m.

The westbound lanes opened late as well, opening just before 6 a.m. The bridge had been scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m.

  • On SR 520 westbound at 124th Ave NE (MP 7) the left lane is closed due to roadwork.
  • The SR 520 eastbound on-ramp from Lk Wash Blvd (MP 1) is closed due to roadwork.
  • The SR 520 eastbound on-ramp from Montlake Blvd (MP 1) is closed due to roadwork.
  • On SR 520 eastbound & westbound from Montlake Blvd (MP 1) to I-405 (MP 7) all lanes are closed due to roadwork.

King County Metro Transit also reported adjustments to its bus schedule to accomodate the closure. According to its Twitter, all 520 eastbound bus routes will travel I-5, I-90, I-405 to regular route. Westbound routes on regular routing. All routes may be delayed, it added.
