Annexation Issues on Bellevue City Council Agenda

Bellevue City Council members will discuss two annexations at its study session on Monday night.

The city of Bellevue will discuss annexation of neighborhoods of South Bellevue, including Hilltop, Tamara Hills, Horizon View and Eastgate, at Monday's study session.

At the study session, which starts at 6 p.m., city officials will discuss the drafting of an agreement with King County that will oversee the transfer of the South Bellevue neighborhoods to the city. They also will discuss issues stemming from Hilltop neighborhood residents' concerns regarding the maintenance of habitats that are important to local species.

The discussions are slated to start after a 30 minute executive session.

At the regular meeting, which starts at 8 p.m., the city is scheduled to honor Community Volunteer of the Year, Tracy Maury Meloy, one of the founding members of Eastside Pathways, and proclamations honoring Bellevue Public Gardens Day, National Older Americans Month and May as .
