Among the topics discussed is whether Bellevue needs a leadership change from current councilman Don Davidson, who has served on the council on and off since the 1980s, and whether the nonpartisan race has partisan implications.

Councilman Don Davidson and his challengers Lynne Robinson and Vandana Slatter.
The primary is Aug. 6. Ballots were mailed to voters July 17.
