Could a downtown Bellevue Fire Station be located at Ashwood Park? The Bellevue City Council will discuss the possibility of including a fire station into the park's master plan at its study session Monday night.

Right now the park has a baseball field and a large grassy area, but the plan for the park, acquired in 1986 by the King County Library System and the city of Bellevue, is to build a community center on it, creating a complex that would integrate the park, community center and library, according to the materials being distributed for Monday night's meeting.

The discussion Monday will center on whether a downtown Bellevue fire station could also be part of the city plan for the park, according to the materials.
