Deadline is Friday to Nominate Volunteer of the Year

Bellevue nonprofits may nominate someone with enthusiasm, assistance, or specific expertise resulting in a significant contribution.

The deadline is Friday March 25 for Bellevue nonprofits to nominate someone with enthusiasm, assistance, and/or specific expertise resulting in a significant contribution to be named the Volunteer of the Year.

The City of Bellevue Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has given unselfish and dedicated service to a City or nonprofit program. The volunteer will be recognized in April during National Volunteer Week. The award is being administered through the city's Volunteer Program.

To be eligible for consideration for the City of Bellevue Volunteer of the Year Award, the nominee shall:

  • Have provided enthusiasm, assistance, and/or specific expertise resulting in a significant contribution to the Bellevue community
  • Have served as a volunteer of the nominating program for at least one year
  • Be a person of good reputation in their community, who has demonstrated support to their community through service to their volunteer organization.
  • Have received no remuneration for services directly associated with his or her volunteer duties
