Elections Update: Stokes, McConnell Hold Slight Edge in Bellevue Races

Council candidate John Stokes and Bellevue School Board candidate Steve McConnell maintain leads over opponents; council incumbents retain their seats

Two Bellevue-based races remained tight Thursday afternoon, according to the latest vote tally released by the King County Elections office.

The percentages looked like they were holding in the King County Council district 6 race, Bellevue City Council or Bellevue School Board races in the latest vote tally released by King County Thursday afternoon. 

In the races for , incumbents Claudia Balducci and John Chelminiak have unassailable leads, while John Stokes maintained his slight lead over Aaron Laing in the race for Bellevue Councilman Grant Degginger's open seat.

In the contested , challenger Steve McConnell continues to hold a slight lead over incumbent Betsy Johnson who was appointed to replace retiring board member Judy Bushnell 18 months ago.

In the race for , incumbent Jane Hague continued to lead challenger Richard Mitchell.
