GOP VP Nominee Paul Ryan to Visit Bellevue Sept. 10

The Associated Press reports that Paul Ryan, who is the Republican vice presidential nominee, is scheduled to be in Bellevue for a private fundraiser on Sept. 10

Washington State Republican Party chairman Kirby Wilbur told the Associated Press that details are still being arranged.

The news about Ryan's fundraising visit comes as the Republican National Convention closes up, with a speech by presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Romney and Pres. Barack Obama have visited the Eastside several times for fundraising visits, though Obama has a double-digit lead in the polls for this state's electoral college votes, and the state is not considered to be competitive in the presidential election, according to poll gathering site Real Clear Politics.
